Before George's death, forgery of George's autograph was becoming more and more common by the day with the main culprits being Ebay sellers and independent websites. In the months before he died, George's agent and best friend Phillip Hughes working together with Trading Standards began a crack down on these sellers and forgers and within weeks Ebay alone had almost half the amount of George Best autographs being listed for sale.

Unfortunately, after George's death in November 2005 the forgeries began to once again flood the market after the rise in value of George signed memorabilia.

Here at GeorgeBestOfficial we Name and shame as many as we can of these criminals in a bid to end their illegal profiteering.

	With the credit crunch clearly in full swing, more and more scumbags are taking to try there hand at faking George's autograph and selling it on the Worlds capital of forgeries, Ebay. Under George Best original autographs we found that over 75% of the 87 autographs were definitely not signed by George Mug of the Month - NeilStollery1258 The above pathetic scribbles are serial/poor forger Neil Stollery's laughable attempt at forging George's autograph to sell on eBay, it appears that not only can't Neil write properly, he clearly has a problem reading going on the basis he seems to think George's last name was REEF, oh dear oh dear. Idiot personified it would appear. To personify Neil Stollery's total lack of intelligence not only does he sell very poor forgeries he signed himself under his own name, he also does this from his Medway Council office computer during work time, his IP address has been logged with all the relivent details of his eBay activity during work time noted and ready to be passed onto his employer. Football_itscominghome Serial PikEbay shirt forger Football_Itscoming home sells an extensive range of fake autographs signed by himself onto football shirts. At the time of writing the above, the lowlife has 48 poor forgeries on shirts listed and not a single authentic autograph. With the agents of several of the players now looking into the items for sale, it looks like Football_itscominghome's fake autograph days seem to be numbered Smileymaximus PikEbay's NumptyMaximus has the above forgery for sale on The Worlds Capital of forgeries Ebay. The fake item does though come with Numpty's own "100% COA" therefore it must be real! As with most Ebay forgers the listing is private so potential victims of NumptyMaximus's fraud can not be pre warned, but rest assured, GBO will useing its power to make sure any winning bidders are notified. Maracanasports U.S Forger Maracanasports recently made the big mistake of trying there luck at George Best and England 1966 World Cup forgeries. In the last 3 months Maracanasports has sold over £5000 in fake shirts and is now under investigation by several agents and the relivant authorities. Currently but not for much longer they still sell via their website, the website that has NOTHING to do with the Football Association and lists nothing but autograph forgeries Helen4198 PikEbay Helen4198 who also hides on forums behind the ID Lyons1 and Big Dave knocks out fake George items like the one seen above, when rumbled, they usually start to abuse the poor unsuspecting customers that they rip off, see below one of several emails sent by Helen4198 / Jason to a ripped off customer. Believe it or not, we have in our possession no fewer than 23 messages like the one above, sent to various pikEbayers over the last 3 years, all sent from Helen4198's home computer! In this time they have told so many lies that they make President Mugabe look like an honest man, but with several pikEbay user's all having similar run in's with the fool, it appears the fat lady is warming up her vocals. BreadandChips PikEbay Conman BreadandChips has not only listed the above blatent George forgery for sale, but they also claim they are doing so for CHARITY It is also claimed by Pikeybay compulsive liar BreadandChips that the book was signed at a bookstore signing session and that........ We are just trying to raise funds for charity! Splifeh PikEbay stonner Splifeh must have chosen that user name as it related to what they must have been smoking at the time they tried to forge George's autograph . Stonner Boy claims Has been hand signed by the unmistakable signature of the legend GEORGE BEST What makes  this book rare is that his signature is undedicated and the signature is crisp and rates a 10/10 Nothing rare here at all, there are loads of items on this page signed by lots of fellow mugs MattandAlex1 PikEbay mug & compulsive liar mattandalex1 has recently listed the above 3 forgeries and a sack full of lies to go with them on forgery central Ebay . He's blatant lies range from "Obtained by a freind of mine who knew George from hes time at Hibs" to "Signed by George at a book signing in Wales" Sporting Icons Sporting Icons have been at the head of many forgery discussions for many years now, in 2002 Sporting Icons were forced to pay damages to George after getting cought selling forged autograhs, in 2004, GeorgeBestOfficial contacted Graeme Walker after we cought him trying to sell George forgeries once again, the lovely Mr. Walker told us "F#ck off, you dont know what you are talking about" The game is now up for Mr. Walker after he was found guilty of 51 of 53 charges, including dishonestly trading by selling faked signatures , following a large scale investigation by Trading Standards. Jose_Special1 The autograph to your left is being offered for sale by the above mentioned Numb Nut on, yes, you guessed it, where else but The Forgery Capital of Ebay! This seller was caught last year selling cheap prints of signed/fake signed photos which he then with a black marker pen goes over the top of the printed autograph to try and give it the look of an authentic one, it obviously didn't work too well hence the fool making the name and shame page!
